Tips to Online Business Success
1. Proper Tools - Determine your business
needs and then ask the experts in that field what tools they
are using to bring them success. By not using the proper tools,
or the proper software to do some things, you are often loosing
countless hours each month and this lost time could have been
used to grow your business!
2. Internet Strategy - Your website is a
new business. Make sure you have an Internet strategy that
includes operations, sales & marketing, and financial
goals. Set up systems, create questionnaires and checklists
to streamline sales and operations, and focus on driving your
target market to your site with Internet and traditional marketing
methods. If you can find an expert on both “bricks &
mortar” and online business strategies to collaborate
with, consider yourself very fortunate!

3.
Web Metrics - Know how many visitors you
have, how much time they spend on your site, what page is
their favorite and where they came from! Web statistics are
the best tool to find new ways to promote your site…you
should analyze them often.
4. Outsource - When you don’t have
time to do something you either don’t do it, or rush
to get it done and increase the risk of making mistakes. This
can hurt your business. If you spend 20 hours writing content
to optimize your website, it is not free…you have to
count the hours of work you have put in.
You can grow your business faster when you get someone else
to do the things that you really hate! By having someone else
to them, it gets done professionally and you can concentrate
on growing your business!
Also outsource the things you don’t have time to learn.
If it takes you 10 hours to use a piece of software that you
use once per week, it might be wiser to hire someone to do
it! |
5.
Joint Ventures - Joint Ventures can help
you grow your mailing list faster and build sales. Find a
website online that could have an audience interested in your
product/service and contact the owner. Get them to showcase
your business on their website in exchange for a sales commission.
